Group Booking Details

• Rates are quoted PER ROOM, per night in US dollars on our Destination Inclusive ® concept and include all applicable taxes and gratuities, except environmental tax.
• Rates are subject to the “environmental tax” of $3.99 USD (or its equivalent in pesos) per night per room that can be paid by each guest upon arrival. This tax applies to all visitors staying at hotels in the state of Quintana Roo.
• Three (3) nights minimum stay required.
• Prices are subject to change for any taxes, or service charges applied by the local government after the signature of this agreement.
• Group rates will be applied only to the dates and for the group in reference. Online rates (including Rewards programs/promotions) aren’t available for group bookings. Those apply for individual bookings only thru same portal.
• The contracted group room rates may apply 3 days before and 3 days after the program dates, subject to availability.
• Maximum capacity in room: Junior Suite): 2 adults and 2 children (up to 12 years old) OR 3 adults and 1 child (up to 12 years old). Quad occupancy is not permitted. Children 0-4 are free.

The Reserve category is Adults only. All guests must be minimum 18 years of age or older at the date of arrival to be registered. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Additional Information:

• All meals/beverages are offered at the restaurants/bar available during regular hours of operation and according with the government regulations during the group stay. Any unused portion of the all-inclusive package will not be credited or refundable
• Room Service Included but service charge of $5.00 USD per delivery applies. The Reserve categories will have the service included with no extra fee.
• Telephone calls (local & international), Spa, Signature Bars, Wines and Spirits outside of the All Inclusive, Sal Restaurant, Laundry, Store, tours & excursions (including Offside Destination Inclusive Activity), are not included on group room rate.

Individual Reservations procedure: LANDING PAGE

• Wedding guest will be responsible for making their own reservations through the group booking link.
• Each guest will have to confirm the travel dates, room category and occupancy in order to book the rooms and provide a credit card information.
• Only one Credit Card will be accepted as a guarantee of each reservation.
• After the room reservation through the link, wedding guest will receive a link to confirm ONE NIGHT DEPOSIT to guarantee the reservation. If client doesn’t submit the deposit, the reservation will be cancelled in 48 hours.
• The rooms can be guaranteed with a MasterCard or Visa Credit Card. Credit card must be valid until the departure date.
• Guests are responsible for their additional charges. A Credit Card will be requested upon arrival. The incidental charges of each participant will be charged before the departure date.
• No Shows and early departure will be charged for the entire stay of confirmed reservation
• Acceptable credit cards are MasterCard and Visa Credit Card. Credit card must be valid until the departure date.
• An upgrade room chart at group rates will be available for those wedding guests whom want to upgrade their room. Wedding guest will have to send an email to the Reservation group agent to secure space on the desired room category at given rates. No exceptions.

Reservations made outside of group room block (reservation form/group code) including melia.com, Expedia, Orbitz, Booking, Tour Operator (I.E. Apple Vacation, GOGO, Funjet, etc.) cannot count towards to the group booking nor special rates/concessions.

Guaranteed
Each individual booking must be guaranteed with a credit card number. The credit card data will be used to offset costs if the group participant does not comply with the cancellation conditions on cancellation.

All Individual reservations must be guaranteed with ONE NIGHT DEPOSIT and the rest of stay on contracted category will be paid at check in time. Any remaining balance must be covered during check out by each guest.

Any special requests must be advised to us at the time of booking e.g. diet, room location etc. Whilst every effort will be made by us to try and arrange this reasonable special request, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled. Any failure to meet special requests will not be a breach of contract on our part.

Cancellations of Existing Reservations
Cancellation of each booking must be made by means of telephoning or in writing to our “Call Center / Reservations” Department at groups.paradisus.cancun@melia.com . Once the booking is cancelled, the group’s participant will receive a confirmation by e-mail, which contains a cancellation number. This cancellation number acts as proof of the cancellation in the event of a dispute:

• For cancellations of bookings received 46 days (March 16, 2024) or more prior to arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged to the individual group’s participant; however, this cancellation does not release “THE CLIENT” of the responsibility for the original room block contracted.
• Cancellations of bookings received from 45 days (March 17, 2024) to 31 days prior to arrival (March 31, 2024) will result in a cancellation fee equivalent for a one night stay to be charged to the Credit card number provided upon reservation.
• 30 days prior to arrival date (April 1, 2024) a complete cancellation, No Show or early departures will result in total charge for the entire stay.

No Shows and Early Departure
The Hotel will consider a no show the contracted rooms or passengers that do not arrive in the programmed date. The no shows and early departures will be invoiced at the contracted rate for the entire stay to be charged to the Credit card number provided upon reservation.

ROOM ASSIGNMENT
All rooms will be assigned on contracted room category. Type of bedding, view, floor location, etc. cannot be guaranteed.

Hotel Check In and Check out time:
Check in time is 15:00 hrs. All guests arriving before 15:00 hrs. will be accommodating as rooms become available but can use the hotel’s facilities and services. Baggage may be checked-in for those arriving early if rooms are unavailable.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. All guests can continue use hotel’s facilities and services until 2 pm without an extra cost. After 2 pm, additional charges may apply for use hotel’s services (restaurants, bars, pools, etc.).

FEES/TAXES/RATES

The applicable taxes or rates are subject to a possible modification, with notification, due to changes in governmental regulations related to taxes.

• Room Service – Included. Service charge of $5.00 USD per delivery applies. The Reserve categories will have the service included with no extra fee.
• Environmental tax. Environmental tax. An “environmental tax” applies to all visitors when staying at hotels, motels or guesthouses in the municipality of Benito Juarez. This tax is a flat fee of $3.99 USD (or its equivalent in pesos) per night per room for all bookings traveling from January 01, 2020. This amount will be charged to all guests and must be paid upon arrival. No exceptions. Please be aware environmental tax may change according to government regulation.

ACCOUNTING
All Master and individual accounts must be paid in full prior to group departure.

Master Accounts:
Client is responsible for providing the Hotel with written instructions at least 30 days prior to group arrival outlining:

1. Names of persons authorized to sign charges to the Master Accounts
2. List of all charges Client allowed to be posted to Master Accounts
3. Charges that should remain posted to each group participant’s individuals folio.

Individual Accounts:
Separate individual folios will be established for all guests to cover room rental and all incidental charges to their rooms not covered by the master folio. Guests before departure from hotel must settle individual folios.

LUGGAGE HANDLING
Luggage delivery time for all groups of 50 rooms or higher will be 45 minutes. Loss or damage of unidentified or unidentifiable bags is not the responsibility of Paradisus Cancun or any of its personnel or agents.

TELEPHONE POLICY
All additional internal telephone lines will be charged at $45.00 US + tax. For dedicated direct lines, please contact your Convention Services Manager. Local and Long Distance calls are charged separately. Please note: In Mexico, 1-800 numbers have a surcharge. Please contact your Convention Services Manager for additional information.

DAMAGE AND PREJUDICIAL CONSEQUENCES
Any damage caused to the hotel (furniture, plants, etc.) will be charged to each group participant’s individuals folio at the equivalent repair or replacement amount. Likewise, no posters, banners or adhesives are allowed on the walls, floors, ceilings or columns of the hotel, as well as flip charts or any handwritten posters in the lobby unless it is expressly authorized.

JURISDICTION
For all matters related to construction, fulfillment and execution of the obligations derived from this contract, the Federal Consumer Attorney Office shall resolve any issues and disagreements; if no settlement is reached at said Attorney Office, the contracting parties shall submit themselves to the jurisdiction of the municipal Courts of Cancun, Quintana Roo, México, waiving any jurisdiction of their present or future domicile or vicinity.

CONFIDENTIALITY
The Parties shall keep the terms and conditions of the Agreement strictly confidential, as well as any other information they have access to as a result of the development and provision of the services contained herein. In this regard, the Parties undertake not to disclose, communicate or transfer to third parties any confidential information, except when this is required for compliance with an obligation of the undersigned or the company pursuant to the relevant legislation and regulations or they are required to do so under law by a competent authority. The obligation of confidentiality is indefinite and shall remain in force after the completion of the Agreement.

TERMINATION (FORCE MAJEURE OR ACTS OF GOD)
This contract is subject to termination by virtue of cause with no liability for the terminating party if is due to force majeure, war, local governmental regulations, epidemics, quarantines, natural disasters, strikes, local civil disorders, or due to reduction or restriction of transportation to the facilities or similar causes beyond the control of the parties, which would make maintaining the group or facilities unavailable, unforeseeable, illegal, or reasonably impossible. Hotel agrees to refund any deposit (deducting any duly justified nonreimbursable expenses incurred by Hotel as per this Agreement), waive any liquidated damages, and waive any minimum purchase
or guaranteed revenue requirements if the contract is canceled under this section.

The Hotel is released from any liability that may arise as a result of circumstances beyond its control or shortcomings in the provision of the service and event on the appointed date for reasons not directly attributable to the Hotel; such circumstances may include but are not limited to force majeure events, fires, explosions, floods, and water, gas or power cuts, etc.

4.10 EVENTS ON THE BEACH (FEDERAL ZONE):
Any event to be carried out on the beach, golf course or any place within a federal zone, will be subject to the corresponding
governmental authorizations and/or permits in accordance with the applicable law. It is necessary for the hotel to have the specifications
of the event with at least 75 (seventy-five) calendar days prior to the group’s arrival in order for the hotel to begin the proceedings to
obtain such authorizations and/or permits. The fact that the specifications of the event are sent to the hotel within the aforementioned
timeframe, does not guarantee its authorization, given that the hotel depends on the answers and proceedings of the authorities and
the granting or rejection of the corresponding governmental authorizations and/or permits.

4.11 PERSONAL DATA PROTECCION:
OPERADORA CALA FORMENTOR , S.A. De C.V agrees that all information granted verbally or in writing by Jazmin Escalera- Mendez & Paul Michael Erikson with regard to this Agreement which allows his/her identification shall be treated as Personal Data in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Personal Data Protection Law (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares); therefore, it shall be processed and treated in a data base owned by OPERADORA CALA FORMENTOR, S.A. De C.V the Purpose of the Treatment shall be the fulfillment of the obligations contained herein and if the case, to send to Travel agencies, Tour Operator or Companies any other kind of information of OPERADORA CALA FORMENTOR, S.A. De C.V and any affiliated companies of Meliá Hotels International, Jazmin Escalera-Mendez & Paul Michael Erikson shall be entitled to exercise the rights granted by the referred Law by writing to the e-mail fpdp@melia-mexico.com duly identifying himself/herself and stating "Re: Persona Data Protection", Jazmin Escalera-Mendez & Paul Michael Erikson expressly grants his/her authorization to OPERADORA CALA FORMENTOR, S.A. De C.V and/or Melia Hotels International, and/or any affiliated companies to Meliá Hotels International S.A.to transfer his/her Personal Data to individuals or entitles, Mexican or foreign, without limitation, which shall grant the same Treatment to his/her Personal Data as it is stated and for the same purpose herein, and in case of any modification to the terms of the mentioned treatment or Purpose, it shall be notified through our website www.melia.com
